Hello List Members Eloise Diana Harbacheck died 15 October 1997. I am trying to find out where she died. I am not sure she may have been in Albuquerque or Gallup, New Mexico. Or if someone can tell me if there is a website I can go to and do the search myself. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Maryann Lindsly El Sobrante, CA
Charlene, Yes Dick Eastman did a review of Genealogy Detective after the mistake many made confusing it with the clone "Internet detective". The review was great!... in fact HE is now selling it too! http://www.genealogydetective.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=methenyd CharWeston441@aol.com wrote: > In a message dated 3/15/00 7:38:18 PM Central Standard Time, > methenyd@megapipe.net writes: > > The software product I think was genealogy detective, not > one of those cheap clones.. which flood the markets. > I bought a copy and found it one of the best, and probably > the easiest to use. Greetings to all! I've been working almost day and night researching new links to add as well as building the databases for the Obituary Archive Search Engine at http://www.cribbs.net/obitsearch/ You may notice a new link that I've added to the Search Engine site. It is called the Legacy ObitFinder. This site accesses over 1000 newspaper obituary sections across the country. It is limited to recent obits but is an extremely valuable tool. I'll have to be honest with you, however... At first when I saw this page my heart sunk! I thought, "Oh no, all this work building these databases for nothing!" When I realized, however, that they are limited to recent obits, relief came! My search engine indexes are based upon not only newspaper archives but also thousands of private archives as well. Here are the latest links that have been added to the Obituary Links Page: WV - Statewide - The Journal Online Obits LA - West Baton Rouge Parish - Westside Journal Obituaries/Archives DE - Statewide - Shore-source Obituaries MD - Statewide - Shore-source Obituaries DE - Statewide - Newszap Archives ID - Statewide - South Idaho Press Obituaries ID - Latah Co. - Latah Eagle Obituaries HI - Statewide - Garden Island Obituaries PA - Perry Co. - Perry County Obituary Search 1998-2000 MA - Suffolk Co. - Boston Herald Obituaries NJ - Monmouth Co. - Webb Ave. Obituaries NJ - Statewide - Courier-News Obituary Archives TX - Jefferson Co. - Port Arthur News Obituaries MT - Statewide - The Montana Standard Obituaries KS - Allen Co. - The Iola Register Obituaries AL - Barbour Co. - 1860 Mortality Schedule AL - Shelby Co. - 1850/1860 Mortality Schedule AL - Sumter Co. - 1850 Mortality Schedule AL - Baker Co. - 1870 Mortality Schedule AL - Statewide - Alabama Obituaries AL - Wilcox Co. - Marriage Index 1867-68 1873-77 AL - Calhoun Co. - Lucius Funeral Home 1938-40 AL - Calhoun Co. - 1870 Mortality Schedule NY - Statewide - Index to Marriages 1788-1817 SURNAME - Andrist Family Obituaries Aside from these new links, I've updated scores of existing links so if there was a link that you've used in the past that didn't work, perhaps it was one that has been fixed! ============================================================ Search through over 500 million records and over 2000 databases! http://www.geocities.com/cribbswh/obit/ancestry.htm ============================================================ New Desktop Tool For Completing Your Family Research! PORTER, DURAN Y CHAVEZ, CHAVES, MARTINEZ, VALLEJOS, ARAGON, VIALPANDO, MARTIN SERRANO, ARGUELO, TRUJILLO, DE CONTRERAS, MAESSE. I am particularly interested in Carlos (Charles?) Porter, b Ireland, son of Thomas and Nancy Porter, who married Maria Lucinda Weaver (Ybabr, Guivar, Bibar) 29 Dec 1849 in St. Francis Parish and Our Lady of Light (La Castrensa), Santa Fe. She was dau of Pauline (probably Powell) and Maria Dolores (Martin) Weaver. When did Carlos Porter come from Ireland? Where in Ireland? What was he doing in New Mexico? Was he in the military? Did any family come with him? Where was he in 1850? Obviously I have a large blank page for him. Please help me fill it in. Thank you. Michaele Burris burrisbooks@juno.com
