I have finished transcribing a ship's manifest - the Steamer America, from Brehmen to New York, docking 14 June 1867. This is referred to as the Kickbusch ship, as August Kickbusch went from his home in Marathon County back to Germany and the story goes that he brought back 702 new immigrants to settle in Wisconsin - not all in Marathon County, but quite a few! Because of the difficulty in deciphering the names, I would like to ask if anyone has firm knowledge of an immigrant family and the name is incorrect, to let me know.
