I would like to introduce all of you to the brand new design of Genealogy at About.com and tell you a little bit about what we offer. The new design is geared to make my site a complete place to explore genealogy, much like it has been, only better. Here's where to find info on surname, immigration, vital records, and census research; beginner's guides; research tips; family reunions; famous ancestors; genealogy graphics; genealogy software and supplies; and much, much more. This listing also includes genealogy resources for over 20 countries, including the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia/New Zealand, and many more. The "Did You Know?" section features a rotating feature of interest. This week it is a fun quiz to test your knowledge of genealogy! "In the Spotlight" provides you with the most topical information in genealogy including weekly articles, how-tos, etc.. There's a new section called "Essentials," where I've put all of the most essential info on my topic, right on the home page. The name says it all, right? Here you'll be able to post your surname, find information on genealogy chat events, read some great genealogy humor, enter your personal genealogy Web page for review, and much more! This genealogy site is updated daily with fresh content and broken URL's are tended to at least once per week, to provide you with an up-to-date genealogy experience. We hold three scheduled weekly chats and have plans to add a few more. Our forum is a great place to post your surnames, questions, or just chit-chat with fellow genealogists. Our newsletter, About Ancestry, is published weekly to keep you up to date on what's new on our site and in the world of genealogy. And in case you can't easily find what you are looking for, there is also a search engine from which you can search Genealogy at About.com or the entire About.com network of sites.
