    1. [NEW-GEN-URL-L] Minnesota Research notes
    2. Mary Bakeman
    3. This month's research notes for Minnesota include a link to and an explanation of the Minnesota Historical Society's extensive visual resources database. This database includes portraits, photographs of streets, houses and other sites, posters, fine art photos and more, searchable on the net. The database supplements the card catalog and finding aid notebooks at the Society's Library in St. Paul, but makes it possible to check for images before coming to visit. About three-fourths of their images are now catalogued in the database, and about 20% of those have electronic images to view on line. If you have Minnesota ancestors, you're going to want to check it out!
