    2. I have my web site pretty much to a point where I don't have to be ashamed of it. <VBG> Check it out at: http://pages.prodigy.net/fbouley/ There is still work to be done (Genealogy is never finished) but you may enjoy the site and perhaps make additions or corrections. Currently I have it devided into 10 pages. 1. My "Home" page 2. "Talk to me" which allows the viewer to E-MAIL me directly 3. "Immigrants"-This is a list of all of those who first migrated to America and "How when and where" if I know it. 4. "Other Family URL's"-These are web pages for others who are searching for the same names. 5. "Franks Resume-Strictly for my ego.<G> 6. "Joans Resume"---Can't do mine without hers (for the same reason) 7. "Research Sites"---A few of my favorite genealogical research sites and a good starter for anyone interested in chasing the same dream. 8. "Our Ancestry"---This is the most important page as it lists URL Links to Family trees that I have posted at other locations. 9. Photo Album-10 pictures of the Pring-Gregory line. 10. Photo Album---10 pictures of the Bouley-Swenson line BACK TO # 8 (Our Ancestry) · MY MAIN FAMILY CHART is located here consisting of 7701 individuals, including notes and sources (everything I know of the individual) reaching back almost 2000 years. · BOULEY ANCESTRY TO 17 GENERATIONS-This is a short version of the Main Chart but only back to the migration to America. Consists of 2925 entries. · BOWMAN ANCESTRY (798 entries). Joans line back to Maryland. · BOLEY ANCESTRY (Back to Vincent Boley). I believe my grandfather changed his name from Boley to Bouley. This line traces from Spokane, Wa. To Carroll and Livingston counties in MO. to KY. And NJ. And includes the names Beasley and McDowell. · PRING FAMILY-Traces the family from Colorado, Idaho, and Wash. Back to Mich. And Devonshire, England. · HILLBRICKS AND SWENSONS -The family is traced back from Washington State to North Dakota to Wisconsin and on to Norway and Sweden. · WHITE LINE (Back to New England) · The bottom of the page is a partial listing of some of the surnames to be found in the trees listed above. 2. Hi, everyone - Guess what! At long last the burial records for the Revolutionary War Cemetery in Salem are online!!! Yep, all 1000+ of them! This is an old cemetery by American standards. If memory serves, the earliest death record I found among them was for 1708... that's going back quite a ways! So, please drop by the Washington County GenExchange and search these records. We are very grateful to Al Cormier, the historian for the town of Salem, for making these records available to us to put online for all of you! Just click on "Burial Records" and fill in the appropriate fields. http://www.genexchange.org/county.cfm?state=ny&county=washington Happy hunting, everyone... 1. Re: [NEW-GEN-URL-L] Keeping Online Genealogy Free for All
    2. Chris & Tom Tinney, Sr.
    3. The easiest way, in my opinion, is for each independent genealogical organization and family history society, to provide LOCAL online FREE WEB SPACE, for any individual[s] having database information relevant to said organizations, of either an historical or genealogical nature: becoming thereby, the primary review Authority for Certification of local and regional genealogical and history record depositories/standards, with power to credential, under the auspices of area licensing agencies and international standards bureaus.. This web based "Federated Independent Genealogical and Family History Web Societies"; joined together, but independently operated, would also offer automatic internal Search services and automatic online submissions of data to all major search engines, ASAP. Fees generated from local Society Membership would fund the individual sites, with a worldwide umbrella organization, in the similitude of Deja.com, providing centralized resources; paid by general advertising revenues that could be obtained from local or regional organizations: cities, counties, states or nations; clubs, fraternal organizations, etc.; in a quid pro quo mutual arrangement. This could include such novel concepts as offering local services via TV commercials for non profits; being a sponsored agency of a local newspaper in return for publishing periodic commentary of local civic dignitaries; being an established link to a local Rotary Organization; BECOMING registered as an OFFICIAL not-for-profit organization and eligible thereby for gift contributions from estates, fund drives and the like. Becoming a contact point for local educational institutions and thus providing "history and genealogy" programs for primary and secondary school systems within a region; being the local genealogy and family history reference consultant point of contact: for local libraries [FHC], universities and colleges; historical societies. Respectfully yours, Tom Tinney, Sr. http://www.dcn.davis.ca.us/~vctinney/ Who's Who in America, Millennium Edition [54th] Who's Who In The West, 1998/1999 Who's Who In Genealogy and Heraldry, [both editions] ------------------------------------------------ "Wenner, Susan" wrote: > After MyFamily.com's buyout of RootsWeb, many genealogists are concerned > about online genealogy remaining free.
