    2. PAM LEE MIDDLETON
    3. Genealogy is My Hobby! "HOT PICKS" for the month of April 1998 can be viewed at http://home.earthlink.net/~middleton ****Society Hill: The Internet Directory of Genealogical and Historical Societies. This is a new site on the internet dedicated to helping individuals get in contact with local genealogical and historical societies around the country. Society Hill has over 3,500 addresses (many with urls) of societies around the U.S., organized by state. Society Hill is the culmination of many countless hours of Internet research. The society listings were collected from numerous sources and consolidated into a single directory. In addition we indexed all of the information by state and/or territory, and made it completely searchable. ***Fianna Irish Genealogy Resources: During the spring term of 1997 we were all participants in an excellent on-line introductory course in genealogy, taught at Virtual University by Marthe Ahrends. Part of the process of the course was to form into study groups by interests. We were all interested in tracing Irish roots, and as we met and bonded into a group, we selected the name "Fianna" for both our group and the result of some of our on-line researches, the web page Fianna: Irish History and Ancestry. We worked well together and enjoyed being together, and so developed ways to remain together. Those of you who join the Fianna-L are welcome to be part of our happy 'clanna'! 1. [NEW-GEN-URL-L] RE: Articles of Faith
    2. Shana Sorensen
    3. Hello, I asked my husband, he knows lots of odds and ends. They are a part of the LDS faith (Mormon) and can be found at the end of the PEARL OF GREAT PRICE (a book of Mormon scripture like the Book of Mromon or the Bible, that is usually co-published in the same volume as another scripture, the Doctrine and Covenants). Anyway they are 13 different precepts that Joseph Smith wrote up to answer the question to inquisitive minds as to what Mormons believe. (The entirety of the passage is only about a page and a half). 12 of the 13 begin with We Believe and the other with We Claim. They aren't really part of any Mormon service, but, are taught to Mormons uin Sunday School. For Example, the first Article is: "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." If you have any further questions feel free to ask. :-) Shana >Would anyone know what an Article of Faith is ? I think it has >something to do with the service but not sure. >Thanks Barbara Come check out my genealogy Web Page. Started 27 Feb 1998.
