    1. [NE Seafarers] Capt. Samuel Rhodes-Boston and North Kingstown, RI-Death?
    2. jrhodes via
    3. For many years I have been looking for information on the death and burial of Capt. Samuel Rhodes, who was born in Newport 1701, son of Capt. William and Sarah Mansfield Rhodes. His one page estate paperwork was filed in late 1756 in North Kingstown. The last we see mentioned of him, is a mention of his being of half pay, in Nov. 1754 in the London Gentlemen's Magazine, where he was part of William Pepperills unit, we believe the 51st. Reg. of Foot. He was at the Seige of Louisburg, 1745, and other actions up to about 1748 in Nova Scotia. After that, nothing. Would be grateful for any leads.. Thanks
