When you're replying to a message from a digest, puh-leeeze change the subject to the topic you're discussing. It does no good to anyone to say "Re: [NEW-ENGLAND-IRISH] NEW-ENGLAND-IRISH Digest, Vol 1, Issue 29." Your fellow list members are likely to ignore your message. In addition, Rootsweb archives messages by subject line; a subject line like that one is up there -- and useless -- forever.
