Regarding the family of Gen. John SULLIVAN, the famous General who served under George Washington. My paternal grandmother was a SULLIVAN, and my father always said that we were related to the General, but I have not been able to prove such. I can get back to my grtx3 grandfather James SULLIVAN who was supposedly b. 29 May 1794 in Baltimore, Md. No parents names as of yet for him, and I really can't pinpoint him as being in Baltimore at the time. If any of you have the lineage of Gen. John SULLIVAN and those of his brothers, and can somehow help me make a connection, it would be greatly appreciated, as I have been searching on this on and off for about 15 years now.
