    2. Seeking town of origin in Ireland or name of ship of Patrick Carrigan b. ca. 1811. Emigrated to Hampton, NY about March of 1840 with wife, Margaret (b. ca. 1815) and father-in-law, Owen Hunt. Daughter Mary Carrigan Yale b. at Hampton in March 1840 - recorded in 1840 census for Hampton. Family soon moved on to Poultney, Vermont. Sons Francis (Frank) Hunt Carrigan and James B. Carrigan, and daughter Margaret Carrigan soon followed. Patrick remarried after Margaret's death about 1850. Second wife's name may also have been Margaret. Any clues would be greatly appreciated. A.
