Thanks. I was aware that the death record had a different name for Julia's father but I've been assuming that the marriage record is more likely to be correct. Julia and Edward probably followed the traditional Irish naming practices for the children since their first born son was named John and Edward's father was John. The second born son was David which is the name of Edward's eldest brother. If Julia's father was John, they probably skipped over him and went for the eldest brother.
