Ruth and others: You mentioned the marriage of Stephen Nevill and Mary Peebles that took place on 28 Mar 1820. She was the daughter of George Peebles and received a portion of her fathers estate. Her children Ann, Willis, and Henry received a portion of the Peebles estate equal to $1200. George Peebles was also of Halifax County, NC.
