Jan, James & Dorothy (Moorman) Nevil had a son Robert Lafayette, shown as Robert L on the 1850 census. He supposedly was a Confederate in the CW. Maybe he is the Lafayette, MS soldier, going by his middle name. A J Lewis & wife Dorotha are on page 189 of the 1850 Tuscaloosa Co, AL census. With them are Nevels children Zachariah 14, Ann 15, Roberta 12 & Robert L 10.
