One clue I have about Elihu Neavill is that there was a biography of his son, James A., published in Goodspeed book done in Arkansas. In that book, it states that James' grandfather Neavill (Elihu's father) served in the War of 1812 from Kentucky and "was with General Andrew Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans". Do you know if the old George was in the War of 1812?
