In a message dated 97-07-17 01:10:59 EDT, you write: << Steward Nevill does not ring a bell with me. Did you come across him on the census...do you have an approx. birth date and place for him? I'm looking for three Nevill boys born between 1835 and 1840, probably in TN who are missing sons of Granderson Dandridge Nevill of Montgomery/Dickson Co., TN. An unattached Nevill male is just what I'm looking for. That doesn't sound quite right, does it?! Kathy >> Kathy, hi and thanks for your quick response. The Nevill I found came by pure happenstance, i was recording Tingle and Jones data for Henry County Ky. The writing is awful...(the first person recording the register had lovely writing, about halfway through someone comes along who should NEVER have been permitted to make records...He misspells names right and left, and scratches like a chicken on the page. Worst of all, he meesed up one place and a whole page has had one column XXed out and rewritten in tiny handwriting along the margin. Its awful. So STEWARD could be Stavord or something else entirely, Steward seemed the likeliest approximation. Everything I took down came out of the microfilms at the library. Nmissi, who gets a headache everytime she sees a microfilm machine.
