I recently found several government land sale records in which he bought many acres in Effingham for what is now dirt cheap (like $1.25 for 40 acres!). He also had a son Andrew J. Neville (this seems to be where our spelling began its evolution) who bought land in Wayne County, Illinois. And I believe he had another son named Enoch D. Neaville who purchased land in Marion County, Illinois. All three of these counties are next to each other so it seems to show how the family branched out from Effingham Co. I also discovered another land sale record of an Andrew J. Neavall. I think this misspelling was a clerical error.
