JP-Jan and group. Regarding Hampton, this is what I have, please compare and let me know if this is not correct. JP...please look and let me know where Mary Bridle fits, have a problem with her! Also JP, don't think Rev Hampton was 66 when he sired Thomas, there is "reportedly" another Thomas b: 1654 sandwiched in between. WHO IS ELIZABETH NEVILLE! 1. Lawrence Hampton Sr. b: 1558 Twickenham Parish, Middlesex England, died 1611 same. Wife unknown. <his issue> William b: 1592, Richard b: 1594, Ann b:1604, Elizabeth b: 1604, Laurence Jr b: 1606, Philadelphia b: 1608 <his son> 2. William (1592-1652) born Twickenham Parish etc. m. Joane ?, issue: Rev Thomas Hampton II b: 4-23-1623, Elizabeth City Co., VA, d: 1690; William Jr., Grace, Elizabeth. <his son> 3.Rev Thomas Hampton II, b: Elizabeth City Co., VA wife unknown, issue: Thomas Jr. (1654/6-28-1703) <can't figure out his will could have been dated 12-9-1703 unless that is when it was settled or my death date is not correct....not a big thing>, Capt John Hampton (1650-1718), and Mary Hampton. <his son> 4.Thomas Hampton Jr. b: York Co., VA(1654-1703) m. Elizabeth Bridle, issue: Francis (1690-1747), Mary b: 1689, Sarah, John, Thomas III. <his son> 5. Francis b: 1690 Isle of Wight m. ELIZABETH NEVILLE (daughter of John Neville and Elizabeth ?) issue: John, Martha, Mary, Thomas, Benjamin, George.(no birth dates but est. 1704-1730 spred) Jan.....from here on out, my two different sources on these lines (not credited sources) don't even come close. You show William (m. Sarah) death as 7-11-1877, these "sources" show his death as 1790 in Abbeville Co., SC (big difference). I've got two genealogies on Hampton, both from John Hampton (son of Francis Hampton and Elizabeth Neville) that take different route's. MY PROBLEM IS: who is Elizabeth Neville shown as the daughter of John Neville and Elizabeth_______? The only one I can know about floating around Isle of Wight was John Neville b: 1661 and Elizabeth Bohannan who's daughter Elizabeth I show married to Thomas Faulkner and Joseph Bohannan. I think this Elizabeth Neville can pretty much account for her evening hours with her Bohannan issue being born from 1720 to 1730, and after the death of her first husband, Joseph Bohannan, the acknowledgement by Thomas Faulkner in deeding land to sons Neaville and William. IF the genealogist that prepared the material I have and the correspondent that Jan refers to claims there was one Elizabeth Neville married to one Francis Hampton, who is she. Is there another John floating around as many suggest, unless the subject Elizabeth Neville married Francis Hampton and had children before her marriage to Joseph Bohannan. Lets see, this would give her six children starting in 1704 at the age of 13 and continuing in 1720 with six more Bohannan children. Don't think so, as Francis Hampton's death is shown as 1747 and I don't think divorce was very popular in those times.I could probably spend a day or so unraveling all this Hampton info from the information you have provided and what I have, but am very reluctant to do so until I can tie Elizabeth Neville into the Isle of Wight Neville's.......Once again, thank you JP and Jan for your imput, my Hampton pile just got higher.....take care......Ren ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ren and Judy Neville vom Junggesellental Rottweilers Wörterbuch Publishing 510-432-3323 voice/FAX "If God so clothe the grass of the field....shall He not much more clothe you" MATT. 6:30
