No, it doesn't seem that my family has always spelled it that way: My father: Percy Douglas Neaveill (b. 09/21/1937) Grandfather: Walter Percy Neaveill (b. 03/13/1917) G Grandfather: Francis Elmer Neaveill (04/20/1878 - 01/16/1961) GG Grandfather: John Thomas Neaveill (11/20/1847 - 04/28/1928) GGG Grandfather: Andrew J. Nevil (09/27/1821 - 08/02/1897) GGGG Grandfather: Enoch Nevil (??/??/1778 - ??/??/18??) This is the information that my grandmother compiled.
