Hi My name is William Neville and I am attempting to find information on my great grandfather William J Neville who I believe lived in the Columbia area in 1850 . I am trying to find out how he might have been related to Joshua Neville. I have some 1850 census information for Richland CO showing Joshua ,Henry and William there along with others.The census records are on pages 24 and 28 of the 1850 Richland Co. census. Joshua's death notice was in the Feb. 3 1851 edition of The South Carolinian. I suspect that Joshua's son was Henry and Henry was the father of William J Neville but I have no way to support this. I wonder if the death notice would have listed children and other family information. Would others have already done this research and have this information?.
