In kicking Gabe's suggestion about reincarnating the SOJND, actually it sounds like a pretty good idea, however, as we think we know, most of the members of SOJND were not descented from John perhaps. At this point, I think we have several emmigrant Neville's lines going, and most probably none of us can connect our Neville surnames to England, Ireland or what have you other than on the distaff side. My grandfather left me with a piece of paper and a chart. He died in 1936 when obtaining information was very slow and tedious. JB Neville <370> thought he had it made by mail. We of course, have a wealth of information to share at our finger tips with a click of the mouse. By base now consists of perhaps 15,000 Neville's from the various families and affiliated lines. I want to leave my grandchildren something other than a piece of paper and a chart. It would be my thinking that by sharing our Neville's and getting them down on paper in the form of a publication which Gabe has so valiently offered to produce, I can hand my children their heritage in a nice format rather than publishing a book for them. It shouldn't take a bunch of effort on anyones part to zap their lines to the group or editor. I don't feel we have to go to the extent that JB did by having a charter etc. Yes there would be some need for monies for printing, postage etc. The key to this to utilize someones banker who does not charge a bunch of monthly bank fees for the privilage of holding the money. I would like to see this idea of Gabes developed. Obviously we should not use the name of SOJND, since most probably Boogher let most of those people down the garden path. Most of us are pretty busy (I think) and Gabe's thoughts to do this publication a couple of times a year has merrit, perhaps quarterly. I haven't checked out Cindys list lately to see how many Neville's are "searching" on that group but have not yet connected with this discussion group, but thats not a big thing to write them and get them involved.
