Tom, It is likely that the wife of John Wesley Neville died 1844-45. In the Civil War pension of Henry Clay Neville there is a deposition from his uncle George T Neville who says that John's mother died when he was an infant & my mother raised him. That would be John's grandmother Mary Pollock Neville. Usually when the term infant is used it means a child under one.
