Her husband born at Amboy, New Jersey. Was married a few years before war. He lived in town of Bascom Ridge, Somerset Co., New Jersey a number of years before Rev. War--same place through the war--few years after war moved to Sharon, Schoharrie Co., New York--has lived there 40 years. He was gone from home about half the time during the war. He spoke of Col. ______?, Lord Sterling, Major McDonald, Capt. McCoy, etc. He was about 24 in 1776--anxious for American cause--supplied meat, drink, no charge made--she well recollects his chasing a tory through the town of Bascom Ridge.
