    3. Ryan, Great find on Enoch Nevil! I have some more information on him from a new index in our library in Hopkinsville, KY. If you have this already, please pardon the repetition. Brackets mine. Land Grants South of Green River [Kentucky] Master Index Survey # 05482 Nevell, Enoch 76 [acres] 116 [Wayne Co.] 01/11/1804 [survey date] 5 148-149 [grant book & page] [Grantee or Heirs] Same Survey # 10009 Nevell, George 150 [acres] 116 [Wayne Co.] 02/28/1809 [survey date] 8 322-323 [grant book & page] [Grantee or Heirs] Walker, Wm. Survey # 10916 Nevell, James 50 [acres] 116 [Wayne Co.] 09/09/1807 [survey date] 13 36 [grant book & page] [Grantee or Heirs] Burnett, Sham Do you know who the above James Nevell might be? They used the Nevels spelling in Wayne Co., and I am searching for a "loose" James Nevels outside MS. James Nevell of Wayne Co., KY is interesting because that county is just a short way up the Cumberland River from Sumner Co., TN where William and Martin Nevel were found in the late 1700s. It is possible they are the same two men of those names found later in Jefferson and Warren Co., MS where James Nevels, my probable ancestor lived. (Ruth Nevels had a query on them earlier this week.) Since we know that Barbara McNamer's George Nevels/Neville may have lived in AL and may be the same person as George in Wayne Co.,Ky, I am even more interested in the above James Nevell.
