Ops, made some typo in my posting. Johns birth year should be 1745. Here is what information I have on my John Nevill,RS He was born in Beaufort Co. NC in 1744 or 1745 the son of Jacob Nevill of that county and the grandson of James Nevill who settled in Nevills Creek, Beaufort, Co. about 1703. John came to Georgia in 1765 and was granted 100 acres on Brier Creek, in 1770. He married Frances Ann Mixon 1752-1815 on Oct. 13, 1768 in St. Matthews Parish (later Made into Effingham Co.. They had six children: 1.Jacob b. 1769 m. 1.Nicy Henderson, 2. Amanda Hudson 2. Delilah b. 1770 m. Samuel Williams RS 3. Sarah b. 1775? m. unknown 4. Mary b. 1777 m. ? Winslow 5. Elizabeth b. 1779 m. Dennis Driggers Mar 9, 1799 6. Frances b.1782? m. James Gill Sep 22, 1808 As for Samuel William, his father was William Williams b.abt 1720. I'm not positive but I believe Samuel was married another time to Martha Fields Sept 6, 1784. I also belive his mother was Mary Mackenzie and his mother and father were married Feb 18,1738. I have seen the book titiled "The Neville Family of Bulloch Co. GA. by Hugh Floyd, but was doing research on another line of my family when I ran across it, and haven't gotten back to it yet.
