John Ward was killed by being hit in the head with a rock in 1793? Nancy married James Allen later that year. 1811--James Allen got power of Attorney to sell 175 acres of land in Franklin Co VA inherited by the heirs of John Ward. William, Elizabeth and husband George Nevill, Daniel & Polly Ward......... These two things showed me who James Allen was and who Elizabeth's siblings were. ^^^ 1807--Daniel Ward married Susannah Ferrel Neville ( on original records Neville was marked out) James and Nancy Allen giving consent for their son to marry Nancy Ferrels daughter. Consent also given by Nancy Ferrel, mother of Susannah............. I don't know where the Neville part cam from in this record? Was Susannah ever married to a Neville? or her mother? or? If Susannah needed concent, she was kind of young to be in a second marriage all ready? By 1820 census James & Nancy Allen , their son Stephen and 3 sisters were living in Franklin Co IL. Daniel Ward and Susannah were living next to them with five children......... This puts the family in Franklin Co IL Also, she puts the Allen family in Warren Co KY from 1813 to 1820.
