Wayne, There was no mention of why they moved to Wisconsin. I think the lead mining in the area probably offered better wages than young men could find elsewhere. According to the bio, Francis Bonham was first in Grant Co. three years before I can place the William Neville family in Missouri. Five Bonham brothers as well as some of their adult children all obtained land in Grant County in 1839. I don't know that any of them moved there on a permanent basis before then.
