    3. Where do you think the name Cinderella came from? (child of William Neville Sr.). I ask because I descend from a Cinderella Mc Clain and I'm aware that in early KY the McClains lived near Boones and Nevilles. I thought maybe the name came from a lady named Cinderella Recer (Racer, Rector) who married William McClain. Her family was from the Germana settlement of Frederick County VA and so also near Nevilles again. Cinderella is such an unusual name! ---------- > From: CONNIE L SHEETS <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Subject: [NEVILLE-L] William Nevill Sr Bible > Date: Monday, December 21, 1998 7:53 AM > > Following is a complete transcription of the Bible Record I have: > > "Copy of Record from family Bible of William Nevill, Sr. > > William Nevill born Apr 5th 1788. > Mildred Nevill, his wife, " Oct 29th 1791. > > Their children as follows: > > Sarah Jackman Nevill born Mar 1st 1808 > died June 17th 1834 > Malinda Jane Nevill born Jan 1st 1810 > Elizabeth Kilpatrick Nevill " Apr 24th 1812 > Henry O'Bannon Nevill " June 25th 1815 > James Morgan Nevill " " " 1815 [twins] > William Warder Nevill " July 1st 1819 > Joseph Dotson Nevill " Aug 8th 1822 > John Rowen Nevill " Jan 28th 1828 > Mildred Cinderella Nevill " Feb 17th 1830 > George Walker Nevill " Jan 17th 1833 > > Copied from Bible by Melissa Hunley and sent to Virginia Anderson and > that copy sent to me at Bethany, Mo. in 1912." > > [The "me" apparently refers to Lillian Nevill Prentiss (1870-1959), > granddaughter of James Morgan Nevill] > > > ==== NEVILLE Mailing List ==== > Archived postings to the NEVILLE mailing list can be found on the WEB at: > http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl
