Roxann, By the 1820 census it looks like Benjamin # 8, b. 1775-1794. I expect Lydia is married to someone in the same family group. Dodson is likely the son of Benjamin Nevill, Franklin County, TN. Franklin is next to Lincoln County, TN. The Dodson Family is also in this county. The Statum Families moved to here from Virginia in about 1850. Jane( Nevill?) Statum is also likely from this county. If she is, this group will also include Zachariah and Lydia, and others. Could Lydia Nevill be the wife of Benjamin? Benjamin owned several tracks of land here, some on the Elk River. Unfortunately, I have never researched Franklin County or Benjamin Nevill. I do have a little information that I will be e-mailing tonight. This again will explain these Alabama births, Franklin and Lincoln County, TN border Alabama. Thanks, Randy L. I have both an Edward Walton b 1798 (no further info) and Edwin Walton 1806-1871 as sons of Solomon Corbin Nevill and Susanna Walton. I hae Edwin Walton first marrying Rachel Higginbotham and having Joseph Walton 1829 Solomon L 1832 Benjamin Franklin 1834 Mary Ann 1835 Son 1848 Then marrying Elizabeth in 1856 and having Henry Clay 1842 Maria Louisa 1844 Betsy Ann 1846 George Peoples 1847 Laura 1850 Margaret Isabella 1852 Obviously the dates are a little weird---maybe Edward Walton married Elizabeth Peoples and EDWIN married Rachel Higginbottham---- I have Solomon Corbin Nevill and Susanna Waltons kids: Edward Walton Jesse Parks John Sims Barbara Hester m.
