Mrs. Joseph Neville Jr. was Mary Faulkner Elliott--Elliott was her married name. The two were married in Fauquier County, VA on December 10, 1777. Joseph Neville Jr. was believed to have moved to Hampshire County, WV approximately 1768 based on a deposition about land boundaries "that took place sometime about the year 1776 and that the said Joseph Nevill had removed from the land now in dispute about seven or eight years before this conversation" (Abstracts of Prince William County, VA Land Causes 1790-1793, cited by Shirley Wilcox on this discussion line on October 11, 1997) That same October 11, Shirley also cited an indenture Joseph Neville signed to mortgage six slaves in Hampshire County. (Hampshire County, WV Deeds vol. 4 1773-1778, p. 94) It's feasible the Elliott men you mentioned were in-laws of Mary Faulkner Elliott Neville, but I have not been able to discover the names of any of the Elliotts in Fauquier County during that time period.
