While researching for Joseph Wright, I found a 1774 petition by the Baptists of Fauquier requesting that they be allowed to build a Baptist meeting house with John Monroe as their preacher. The request was granted during the May court term of 1775. Signatures included Joseph Neavel and James Neavel. Other names of interest: Wm Elliott, John Elliott and Thomas Elliott - and how are they connected to our Joseph's second wife? Also Richd Oldham Junr, Richd Oldham and John Oldham.
