>Hi, Everyone. Does anyone know which Neville Family Morgan Neville is connected to? I came across his name in a book about men who worked on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers from 1800 through the steamboat era, evidently he was a journalist of the period who wrote about these rivermen. Donna
Donna........Morgan Neville is the eldest son of Presley Neville, son of gen. John Neville. This is my line. He died in Cincinnati in 1839, was a journalist, writer and friend of Layafette. If you are interested in some of his life, click on my family site at World connect below, type in Morgan Neville and read what is on file. Obvioiusly I would be interested in the name of the book plus what was said about him for family records. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=johnneville Donna Browning wrote: > >Hi, Everyone. Ren, Finding out that Morgan Neville worked on the Mississippi River probably answers a question I asked you a year or two (or maybe five) ago concerning an account in Jefferson Co., MS. It seems likely Morgan was stopping/staying in Jefferson Co., MS during his travels on the Mississippi. Residents of Southeast Mississippi Territory (5 vols.) by > Jean Strickland (P.O.
