Below are two abstracts of documents filed in the Halifax County Courthouse regarding the estate of Mary "Polly" Holt, the daughter of Joseph Holt, the grand-daughter of Thomas and Ann Arrington Holt. As you can see Eagly and Adam N. Holt were her children. Again, I need to see the parents listed for the Thomas Holt you are discussing and, more importantly, the father of Temperance Neville you think married the Thomas Holt. The children you are suggesting belonged to a union of Thomas and Temperance Neville Holt and the union itself is not supported by any records I have from Halifax County, NC. Sue, I will check again, it looks like the guardianship may have covered more than one family group by looking at what you sent me. This Zachariah Nevill is another problem, I have found him on only one census as Nevill. The census prior to 1850 aren't much help because they don't show family relationships.
