My father was born in 1929, and the exact dates of his parent's births I am still finding out, (though we can definitely count out the 1700's). lol

    2. Wish I could help you. My James Neville was from Limerick Ireland, his sons did not include a John or a Richard. But I know others on the list will help you and actually you're lucky! I think MOST of the list is NOT my Neville family, so it may be YOURS! LOL Good luck. I have gained most of my "stuff" from online lists and leads. And met some of the nicest "cousins" from my "unrelated families"! Carol

    2. Sandy Morrison
    3. Hello, and welcome aboard cousin! I'm deleting the parts of your message that are your kin, and leaving the parts that are mine. Maybe we can compare notes? Sandy Edward's father was Ralph Neville born 1367 died 1415. His father > and mother were Ralph Neville (1292-1367) and Alice Audley. Edward's > grandparents were Randolph Lord Neville and Euphemia FitzRoger. "Our list" goes backward to Euphemia's parents Robert FitzRoger and Margery de la Zouche; her grandparents Roger FitzJohn (fitz Maldred?) and Isabel (? de Neville, dau of Henry de Neville, the Admiral?), her great grandparents, John FitzRobert, Lord Eure, who reportedly signed the Magna Carta, and his wife Ada Baliol. Though Balliol College says Ada never married him, so I'm not sure of that. And then, of course those who came before on both sides. >From here we descend through Ralph de Neville and Alice Audley; John de Neville and Maud de Percy; Ralph de Neville and Joan Beaufort, dau of John of Gaunt and Katherine Swynford; Richard deNeville and Alice Montague/Montacute; John de Neville and Isabel Ingoldesthorpe; Anne Neville and Sir William Stonor......Wentworths, Constables, others, then 13 or 14 generations of Wycliffe/Wyckliffe/Wickliffe, to my mother, a Cundiff. I would just like to substantiate descent from the Wickliffe's who landed in Maryland in 1636. I know they landed, but are they really "ours"... ah, there's the rub! From there backward, it's pretty much historical data. Funny to think we may have descended from nobles, when we are simply working folk! But, such is life, and history! The LDS Church has these ancient people in this order, and my sisters have much more info. I have web sites listed somewhere but if you go to GENUKI, we have a lot from there. The Nobles were kept track of very closely, and Burke's Extinct Peerage has much info. Historical Libraries and regular libraries can get you things on inter-library loan, or you can travel! We are still working our way backward through the American folk, with a few brick walls. It's tough to prove out the actual lineage here owing to fires and war, we'll have to go ferret through courthouses and records offices! We have lots of data on the ancient ones, but I haven't time to get it out today. Keep in touch. I'll be on vacation starting the 18th. Happy Hunting, Sandy > Randolph's parents were Robert Neville and Mary FitzRandolph. Robert's >parents were Robert Neville and Isabel Bertrem. His parents were >Geoffrey Neville and Joan de Monmouth. Geoffrey's parents were Robert fitz Maldred and Isabel de Neville.
