Marcus Newton Blakemore married Angela Sanford Warner - I have their marriage bible - and they are the parents of my grandmother, Letitia Warner Blakemore wh married William Fouchee Latham and are the parents of my father, Fred Blakemore Latham. We do get up to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area as my husband also has family in that area. Next time, if feasible, I'd be happy to come traveling with my bible and show it to you. I've taken it to Culpepper where it was coveted but it returned home with me. Oh, in it I have an original photograph taken the same as the one in the Blakemore book. Adios, ahora. Cousin Alice PS One day soon, I'd love to go over the data I have on what I think your line is down from Lucy. I may need some correction. The Blakemore book is not totally accurate. It had my grandmother dying 60 years early. A typo most likely, but wrong for those NOT in the know. ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. 2. Hello and good morning, Alice Bell: Nice to hear from a fellow Texan. My connection to the NEVILLE family is through my maternal 4th great grandmother, LUCY NEVILLE, b. 18 Jan 1730/31, d. 29 May 1789, m. WILLIAM WALLER CALMES, I, 17 May 1754. He was born 18 Jan 1726/27, d. 19 Sep 1773. LUCY was the dau of CAPT GEORGE NEVILLE and his second wife MARY GIBBS. She (LUCY, that is) was a sister of ANN NEVILLE who married THOMAS BLAKEMORE. Thanks for asking. Cheers and best wishes, Jerry Dalton

    3. In addition to the two Nevilles listed in the DAR Patrict Index, there appears to be another Jesse who left a will in Halifax Co. N.C. in 1819. He mentions a daughter Sarah Nevill the wife of Benjamin Nevill Jr.; Tempy Holt's children (apparently a deceased daughter); and a son Jack Nevill. Who is the father of this Jesse? Who are his siblings? Thanks. 3. Larry, Thank you for the correction on John Nevill's birthdate. How did you establish that the John Nevill in Beaufort, NC and the one in GA are the same man? I have been looking for evidence that Jacob's father was the James Nevill who lived in Beaufort Co. in the early 1700s? Did you find a record which gives the relationship? Does it mention Moses? Thank you, too, for answering my question about the Williams. I am sending some information below related to the Nevill-Williams connection in Beaufort Co., NC. Do you want me to send you copies of the pages in the 370-Year History of One Neville Family which are related to Jacob and Nicy's descendants, or do you already have this information? 3. Sorry to interrupt, but does anyone have access to a copy of the Blakemore book? Does it mention a Lucy Neville Blakemore married to Thomas Bragg? and how would Lucy tie in to the Neville lines? Thomas and Lucy would be my 5th-great-grandparents. If the gedcom file that I came across recently is correct, Lucy was the dau of Anne Neville and Thomas Blakemore; Anne Neville was the dau of George Neville and Mary Gibbs -- can any of this be verified? Can the Neville line be traced back any further? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer on this matter... Nope, just supposition. I have not traced out where George went. Just have collected information incedental to my own lines. Most of this information was gleaned from decendants living in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex area. William moved from TN to Millsap, TX, and remained there. If Corrine or her parents/grandparetns are not from Parker Co., TX, then this is probably not her ancestor. Daris > Jan > > At 12:08 AM 2/21/99 -0600, you wrote: > >No problem, Milton. 3. Ops, made some typo in my posting. Johns birth year should be 1745. Here is what information I have on my John Nevill,RS He was born in Beaufort Co. NC in 1744 or 1745 the son of Jacob Nevill of that county and the grandson of James Nevill who settled in Nevills Creek, Beaufort, Co. about 1703. John came to Georgia in 1765 and was granted 100 acres on Brier Creek, in 1770. He married Frances Ann Mixon 1752-1815 on Oct. 13, 1768 in St. Matthews Parish (later Made into Effingham Co.. They had six children: 1.Jacob b. 1769 m. 1.Nicy Henderson, 2. Amanda Hudson 2. Delilah b. 1770 m. Samuel Williams RS 3. Sarah b. 1775? m. unknown 4. Mary b. 1777 m. ? Winslow 5. Elizabeth b. 1779 m. Dennis Driggers Mar 9, 1799 6. Frances b.1782? m. James Gill Sep 22, 1808 As for Samuel William, his father was William Williams b.abt 1720. I'm not positive but I believe Samuel was married another time to Martha Fields Sept 6, 1784. I also belive his mother was Mary Mackenzie and his mother and father were married Feb 18,1738. I have seen the book titiled "The Neville Family of Bulloch Co. GA. by Hugh Floyd, but was doing research on another line of my family when I ran across it, and haven't gotten back to it yet.
