There was a town called Empire City on the east side of Carson City heading out highway 50, turning on Deer Run Rd and follow to Carson River. There is a abandoned cemetery and that is the general site of the town Empire City. When the Virginia & Truckee rail was running from Virginia City to Carson City, Empire City was one of the train stops primarily because of the processing plants along the Carson River.
