She may also be knowledgeable about gravestone suppliers in the area, and you can start calling them and hope to get lucky and find the one who supplied the stone--and they may tell you who paid for it. There is also a funeral home in Walthill and they may sell gravestones. They do not have old records. I needed a 1944 record, and that was too old. I have no idea when their records start.
