Wachter was born in 1860 and married to Emma Stegmeyer. He died in Lincoln, NE, 1940. His children were Don Wachter, my grandfather, Edna Wachter (b. 1890), Olinda Wachter (b. 1892), Ronald Wachter (b. 1895), Leona Wachter (b. 1900 and married to Bernard Bauman), and Ruth Wachter (b. 1902).
