August 10, 2000 SCOTTSBLUFF - Mildred S. Sarbaugh, 92, of Scottsbluff, died Wednesday, August 9, 2000, at her daughter's residence in Morrill. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2000, at the First United Methodist Church in Scottsbluff, With Rev. Robert Weigert officiating. Friends who wish may call at the Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. Private family interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Scottsbluff. She was born October 26, 1907, in Dresden, Ohio to Fred J. and Emma Rose (Bradford) Minner. She received her education in Otterbein and Dresden, Ohio. On July 24, 1926, she married Raymond B. Sarbaugh in Zanesville, Ohio. In 1937, they moved to Scottsbluff where she went to work at the hospital working there through World War II. In 1951, she went to work for the Scottsbluff Public Schools as manager of the cafeteria. She worked for the school system until 1965, when she went to work as a house mother at the school of nursing until her retirement in 1970. She was a 75 year member of the First United Methodist Church where she was actively involved in many things, especially the Sunday School Ladies Society. She was also very active in the PTA and was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. In 1977 she was instrumental in organizing a board to get Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery cleaned up. She is survived by her daughter, Twila Morton of Morrill; daughter-in-law, Jody Sarbaugh of Boulder, Colo.; granddaughter, Cheryl Butcher of St. Louis, Mo.; grandsons, Melvin Morton of Omaha, Ne., Scott Sarbaugh of Boulder, Colo., Bruce Sarbaugh of Lakewood, Colo., and Doug Sarbaugh of Loveland, Colo.; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents' her husband; one son, Duane Sarbaugh; five brothers, Ernest Minner, Carl Minner, Pete Minner, James Minner and Mike Minner; and four sisters, Eva Hagen, Flo Sheets, Louise Green and Emma Oliver.
