MARY GLASS Mary Rasetta THORNBURG, daughter of David and Susannah THORNBURG, was born Sept. 26, 1854, at Pilot Grove, Lee Co., Iowa. She passed away March 2nd, at her home in Fairfield, Nebr., age 72 years, 5 months and 4 days. She came with her parents to Nebraska in 1873, and was united in marriage to Jerennah GLASS Sept., 26, 1876. To this union were born six children, four boys, Fred, Elza and Albert of Fairfield and Perle of Lincoln, Nebr. Two girls died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death twenty-one years. Besides her children she leaves eight grand children and four brothers, John, Henry and Albert THORNBURG of Western, Neb., Ephram THORNBURG of Loveland, Colo. Four sisters--Mrs. Lottie FROST of Fairbury, Nebr., Mrs. Emma HICKS of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Kate WARD of Casper, Wyoming, and Mrs. Rheira PAGE of Geneva, Nebr. Two brothers preceded her in death, Alanzo and Jacob. After the death of her husband, she moved to Fairfield, where she has made her home until death summoned her. She united with the M. E. church in her early girlhood days, and has been a faithful member ever since. She was a faithful and devoted mother and kind and loving neighbor. A large congregation of friends and relatives gathered at the Methodist church Friday afternoon to attend the funeral services. Her pastor conducted the services and a quartette composed of Mrs. Fred HILL, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. LEWIS and Mrs. C. L. LEWIS furnished the music. The body was laid to rest in the Fairfield cemetery. Mr. Henry and Albert GLASS of Western, Nebraska, were here Friday to attend the funeral of their sister, Mrs. Mary GLASS. Mrs. and Mrs. FROST and daughter of Fairbury were called here by the sickness and death of Mrs. FROSTs sister,Mrs. Mary GLASS. Mrs. Emma HICKS of Des Moines, Iowa, was in Fairfield attending the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Mary GLASS. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. PAGE and sons of Geneva, Nebraska, were here to attend the funeral of Mrs. PAGEs sister, Mrs. Mary GLASS.
