His parents were Joseph and Mary Ann (Sainsbury) Pearce. He and his parents arrived in Australia, May 1853. He (age 18) and his mother, Mary Ann Pearce are on the 1870 census in Saline Co., Dewitt, P.O. Blue River City. He married Sarah E. Harris, 4 July 1876 in Crete, Saline County. Family gossip says he was married once before. I would appreciate any information on the previous marriage and his father, Joseph.
