Ruth Derby ONESS was born on September 12, 1873, at Merian, Illinois, and died at Fairbury, Neb., Dec. 15, 1927, at the age of 54 years, 3 months and 3 days. In 1875 she came with her fathers family to Nebraska, locating at Pleasant Hill. On May 23, 1900 she was united in marriage to H. S. Early in life she became a Christian and united with the U.B. church, of which she was a member until the end. Due to poor health, she was unable to attend the services regularly or to be active in the work of the Kingdom. She was for some years a great sufferer, but endured all of these as seeing Him who is invisible. She leaves to mourn her departure her devoted husband, one brother, Jerry SMITH, of Swanton, one sister, Mrs. Lydia MILLER of Beatrice, besides many other relatives and many old neighbors and friends among whom she was highly respected and loved. CARD OF THANKS I wish to express my appreciation of the many kind deeds and words of Sisters and Brothers, friends and neighbors during the illness and death of my dear wife. Also the minister and undertakers. Henry NEVEL
