Tomasz, Yes, the small lettering is problematic, however, I think I have figured it out. The inscription: IRENA, Córeczka (Co~reczka), Franc. i Klary GALUS, um. 28.mar.1911., Lat 2 Translation: IRENA, young daughter, of Frank and Klara (Clara) GALUS, she died 28 Mar 1911, 2 years Klary is the possessive form of Klara. Um. is the abbreviation for umarła (umarl~a), she died...umarł for he died. You sometimes see the abbreviation ur. on a tombstone, which means was born - urodził się (urodzil~ sie~) (masculine), urodziła się (feminine) Regarding the possessive form of Klara - Klary. For the most part (there are exceptions) the feminine nouns ending in -a change to -y. Therefore, in a marriage or birth record you might see the name of the mother end in -y. Maryanny, for example. Can you read it ?? This is the first time that I have seen "Lat" on a tombstone. Initially I thought it said "Lut" and I couldn't figure the thing out. I thought it was referring to "lute", Polish -February- so I see now it is actually "Lat", for "years". The capital "L" should have been a clue I suppose.
