    3. You guys are amazing. But I guess this is like your vocation. I'm just a dumb amateur and every website I check wants my credit card number. Perhaps what I found will be of some value to you, perhaps not, but here goes. In a couple old references I found entries that stated - amongst early immigrants in Chicago, there was a general call for a work opportunity in Chatsworth Illinois where a mine was to be worked when enough human labor was to be found. A goodly number of Columbus NE early pioneers, in Chicago at that time, responded. In the end, the mine did not "come in" for one reason or another, and all labor amassed in Chatsworth went their separate ways. The closest Catholic church to Chatsworth at that time was St. John's located in Fairbury, just down the road. I wrote to them and the 3rd Baptismal entry was for Rosalia and Walenty Lasek's second child, Maryanna, born 1868. In the absence of specific birth information concerning Katherine Kost, St John's would be a good option. I don't know if St Johns is available on line or the LDS, but you can write to them. Would appreciate a URL if found on line or LDS film number. Effingham Illinois as well as Teutopolis Illinois (Down the road) have connections into the Columbus area as well - the Franciscans into the Columbus area.
