1. 1900 census shows that Maurice was born in May 1842, not 1836. 2. 1900 census shows that Margaret had 11 children, 7 living at that time. 3. I haven't checked what films are available, but have you searched those for Askeaton (or nearby)? 4. I noticed there is conflicting information on the burial place of Maurice Sr and Jr. (and maybe others--I didn't check). Someone "in the know" should probably correct the misinformation. 5. Have you gotten death certificates of all the children? 6. Do you know if Maurice had any brothers or sisters that immigrated? Do you have death certificates for them? 7. Did you request Maurice's social security application? That should give his birth place. Just a few thoughts off the top of my head......maybe you've already checked on all this. Iam getting married at the end of May and my future step-daughter is sending us to Ireland. OMG Im so excited! Here's the problem. I want to be able to visit the church/cemetery my LANGAN's attended and are buried. I've spent the last 4 hours researching and writing to just about everyone I came across on various websites.Unfortunately many emails were returned because the addresses are no longer valid. What I do know are the dates of baptisims but not what church. Im leaning towards St. Mary's as it is the oldest church I have found in the Askeaton area. I have posted the following before but again hoping someone may have some new leads for me. It's taken my about 7 years just to get to where I am now in my research and thats not very far.The trip to Ireland is my dream come true and I want so bad to make the most of it. Thanks so much for putting up with me and my endless questions. Cris Atwater CA *MAURICE SYLVESTER LANGAN SR. WAS BORN IN IRELAND POSSIBLY ASKEATON OR RATHKEALE IN ABOUT 1836. Sorry - I didn't complete my thought about the conflicting burial information. I have looked through my notes and can't seem to find if I had an obituary for Maurice Sr. My daughter had stated on find a grave that she found it in the Columbus telegram 1927 so Im heading off to see what I can find.
