Kathy, I didn't think you were being critical at all, at least it didn't sound that way to me. I know how frustrating this can all be and I just wanted to add how I think it might have happened. With my keying and then becoming an arbitrator, I find many who are very careful about what they type and then there are others that look like they are just beginners or they didn't really read the instructions. I found in Ancestry that they were doing it for the numbers with not that much thought about accuracy. I do this as well as other projects because I can and because being on the computer is my therapy for keeping my santity after retirement and not lose my mind to the big "A" or become a couch potato. When I first retired, I was asked to volunteer at the hospital but I don't do well in hospitals. So, Charlotte was my savior and got me started in the Kin Seekers and there it all began. I get so much enjoyment and satisfaction when I can help others with their research. Doesn't hurt that I find some answers to the falling leaves on my tree too. As you all know, genealogy does become an obsession but at least it is a good one that keeps us thinking and most don't give up. Just want to be able to help.
