Hawdi - It just hit me. There is a Walter Spies (pronounced as "speeece", who owned the land on which sits the remainder of my gggrandfathers sod house. He recently sold it and 3 guys bought it for hunting. I believe Walter is still up and kicking and he would probably be a good point of contact for some of these genealogy questions. I don't have his phone number but it should be in the wide area directory there. He seemed very sharp and knowledgeable when my cousin Dean and I talked to him several years ago.
