We strung them up to dry in the washhouse (buda) I loved them in gravy. About ten years ago, we were up near Monterey Ca for an anniversary party. The "groom" was from Ne, and one of his daughters surprised him with a couple of pounds of Morels.......at $48 a lb. He could not believe it. Neither could we. One yer the kids and Steve found upwards of 50 lbs of mushrooms! Steve took them to Nebraska City, Hamburg, local grocer's and such, sold them for $10 a lb. We bought the kids their first mountain bikes with the proceeds! (atthe time mountain bikes were $150-$200 a bike, with three kids, like whoa!) Children had a good day and got something they really wanted!
