    2. Write to the Nebraska Sate Historical Society. They will research the names you are looking for. I believe they charge $5.00. They are great! I requested a obituary look up from them, and because of that they were able to find the naturalization papers and all kinds of things for me! donna

    1. Re: [NELANCAS] Univ Nebraska Yearbooks - 1925, '26, '27
    2. Mary, Would you mind looking for anything on my Grandfather Earnest L Harrison who was a Professor of Music at UNL during those years (he was there until 1954). He was one of the original "Seven" who formed the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra which was --- in the beginning called the "Little Lincoln Symphony". I would not be able to post the yearbooks after 1924 without permission from UNL anyway but I am interested from a "personal" standpoint, so anything you can throw my way is appreciated. When have you tried to call the NSHS archives? Maybe you have been trying on some sort of breaktime or perhaps when they are not open? You might be able to contact them quicker by e-mail at: web@nebraskahistory.org Anyway, it was very nice of you to offer to do lookups in these yearbooks. Any possibility of scanning some photos to put on the Lancaster County Schools page? Please let me know! Thanks a bunch!! PS: If there is anything on any ZIEGENBIEN or LILLIBRIDGE in those books I would be very interested also. Mrs. Harry ZIEGENBIN (Fleda) was also an instructor, I think during that time period. 2. Several photos have been added to the Lancaster County, NE pages, some are unidentified and some are named but the submitter does not know where or if they fit into their family tree. There are also some photos of the Nebraska State Capital building while it was under construction. The submitter, Joyce Brown's father and uncles were part of the construction crews. I hope to have some more family group sheets added soon to the Lancaster County pages too. Please have a look around to see if you recognize any of the people in the photos shown. 1. [NELANCAS] 1870 Lancaster County Census
    2. Mary Hayward Brockmeyer
    3. Hello again- I am really dying to get a lookup in the 1870 census for Lincoln/Raymond area. I will be glad to pay for a professional researcher, if someone can suggest someone. I really don't want to ask a volunteer; this is a hard job, and I think I should pay for it. Does anyone know if there is access to it at the Hist Society? Another question I have: has anyone on this list successfully traced naturalization paperwork for a Nebraska ancestor? I have no way of knowing if my family members even attempted to become citizens. Mary

    2. Mary Hayward Brockmeyer
    3. Hi to all - I have three yearbooks from the University from the 1920's. I would like to donate them to the right group. My first thought was the Nebraska Historical Society - but I can't reach them on the phone. Does anyone on this list go there on a regular enough basis to ask someone there if they want the books? Any clue why I can't get through on the phone? Before I donate, I will offer lookups to this list - I really don't want to put it on the website - (sorry Kathie) because I won't have them for very long. The years are 1925, 1926 and 1927. Is there anyone there that would do a look-up for me on an obituary?? I do not have the exact date, in fact, this little lady has been eluding me for some time now. A directory for Lincoln might also be of help. Thanks Fern

Does anyone have any information or suggestions as to where to find this family and the place of burial for Elizabeth? Any help would be greatly appreciated. >>> Toby ... I have a few photocopied pages for the St. Patrick/St. Mary's Cemetery in Davey, from "Cemeteries of Lancaster County, NE, Volume IV, Northeast Quarter", compiled and published by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Genealogical Society, Spring 1980. (978.265 H62l) -- the last character is an "L", not a "one" Unfortunately, your Kendrick/Decker individuals do not appear on those pages ... but I suggest that you contact the Nebraska State Historical Society for help with that record source, since those cemetery volumes are on the shelf in their archive. (There are additional cemeteries in the Davey vicinity, and it may be that your Kendrick's are there instead of at St.Patrick/St. Mary.)
