    2. Debbie Dobson
    3. I am seeking information on Alva Starner and Lillian (Lily) Mary Walsh who were married in 1898 in Lincoln, NE. I have yet to figure out why they were in Lincoln as it appears he was from SD and although Lily traveled with her mother Agnes Garvey Walsh, I don't have any further information linking them to Lincoln. I don't know how to find out if Agnes was living in Nebraska during this timeframe. She was traveling with a man named Drake who was a mining engineer (built the facilites that processed ore once out of the ground). Debbie

    3. Hi everyone. How about you all listing your queries for the families you are researching in Lancaster County since it has been some time since anyone posted their names, dates, etc.? We have close to 90 folks on this list and it would be nice to see if any of you are having some luck with your research or if you have any that you are having difficulty in finding information on. Also if you have any good hints for research in Lancaster County to give to others on the list please feel free to post them. If you have any helpful links related to researching in Nebraska you are welcome to post them also. I am looking for information on the parents of Anna Morn, who was the first wife of my G-grandfather John Andrew Hogan. Anna and John married Feb.16, 1887 in Lincoln, NE. Her parents are listed on the marriage certificate as Dennis Morn & Ann McFall or McFail. I would like to find out if they lived in Lancaster County also. My G-grandfather and Anna lived in Davey, NE. Have a great day! 1. [NELANCAS] McDonald-Regan
    2. Kathie Harrison
    3. Hi all. On my Dad's baptismal certificate it lists his Godparents as James E. McDonald & Ruth M. Regan. My Grandma Harrison's maiden name was McDonald and I know that she did have an uncle by the name of James E. McDonald. I am trying to find out if the man listed as the godfather for my Dad's baptism would have been the same man or possibly his son. My grandmother did not have any brothers named James E. --only George who died at 9 months. Also I am curious as to who this Ruth Regan might have been. A friend or possibly a relative? My Grandmother was from Emerson, NE in Dixon County and married my Grandfather in Lincoln, where they also lived. The McDonald family did not live in Lincoln, so this would have been quite a trip to travel, from Dixon County to Lincoln in 1933. Any ideas on how I could find out more about these people? My Dad was baptized here in Lincoln at the same Catholic Church that I went to while growing up. I am more curious than anything because I have not been able to track down my G-grandfather Barney J. McDonald's brother James E. McDonald who was supposed to have moved to Texas long before my Dad was born. Suggestions are welcome. Have a great day! Kathie Harrison

    1. [NELANCAS] WWI Nurses - Lancaster Co., NE
    2. Kathie Harrison
    3. The Lancaster County WWI Honor Roll pages have been updated with Nurses and women who served. This includes short biographies & photos. The women listed on this page were all Army Nurses unless otherwise noted and served when women historically were not given the recognition for their service as men were. They all proudly served their country and are being recognized today for their great importance to this country's history. I am proud to have had relatives that served in this unsung branch of the service and dedicate this page to their memory. I am especially proud that my G-aunt Pearl R. Culp was one of these women. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/honor/lancww1vetscover.ht ml http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~irishrose/honor/ww1vetsindex7.html Have a great day! If you are fairly certain a Bassler was in attendance at UNL in 1924, I would be happy to look through the activity and fraternity pages for that surname.
