Hi all, My ancestors migrated from ? Pennsylvania to Hardy Co.,(W)Virginia to Coshocton Co,. Ohio to Lucas/Marion Co., Iowa. Some went on to Harlan and Thayer Co., Nebraska. My question is there seems to be a pattern of not just my ancestors but many other families as well. While researching Coshocton County I learned that many people came from the Hardy/Hampshire area of WVa. When I got to researching Marion County, Iowa I found that so many people had settled in one corner of the County from Coshocton Co. (Dallas Twp.)they named it Ohio Town. These people don't seem to have come all at once either. It happened over a 20-40 year period. Are these people writing old neighbors about the area or (doesn't seem possible but) are these the HOT parcels of land at the time? Haven't checked the Nebraska connection yet nor have I been able to locate where in Pa. they came from originally.(If someone knows a migration area like this from Pa. I would really be interested) Any ideas out there about this pattern? Chuck
